Dallas Market Center, the largest open-daily interior design resource in the country, announced that several new luxury home décor companies have joined its Interior Home + Design Center. Among the growing list of companies taking dedicated space are Robin Baron Design, Cari Davis, United Mills, A Touch of Silk, Cloud 9, and Zuhaus.
Construction is now underway on the 220,000 square foot to-the-trade marketplace serving interior designers and retailers that will open its first phase on June 21, 2017 for the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.
Robin Baron Design is launching her eponymous home furnishings collection exclusively in Dallas. Robin is a celebrity interior designer and lifestyle expert with a full-service design firm based in New York City. Her design work has been featured in a wide array of media including television, radio, and print.
Cari Davis is an artist renowned for her canvas paintings featuring vibrant colors and rich textures from abstract to collage, impressionistic to classical.
United Mills is a high design Turkish company producing some of the finest bath textiles in the world made from quality Turkish cotton and transformed into stylish products. This is their first U.S. showroom presence.
A Touch of Silk is a global manufacturer of permanent botanicals as well as seasonal products for the home and for contract and commercial projects.
Cloud 9 Comforts is a luxury bedding company dedicated to providing the finest bedding linens and down products for retailers and interior designers. The products are all made in Italy from Italian milled fabric in the best sewing workshops in the world.
Zuhaus is a home décor company with 25 years of experience focusing on stylish portable lighting, mirrors, wall décor, accessories, and occasional tables.
Each of these companies will create custom display space inside The Gallery, a 32,000 square foot central hub of the Interior Home + Design Center showcasing companies in spaces ranging from 600-1600 square feet. This shared, open-daily showroom with a full-time manager will allow for buyers to easily review home décor manufacturers in a single location with a convenient ordering process and with many items available immediately from the floor.
The phase one opening of the Interior Home + Design Center, including The Gallery, will take place on Wednesday, June 21 with a gala reception hosted by Dallas Market Center and title sponsor ELLE DECOR.
Adjacent to The Gallery are showrooms from many of the most respected home décor companies in the U.S. including Phillips Collection; Palecek; Visual Comfort; Ralph Lauren Home; Bliss Studio; Dessau Home; Emissary; in2green; Shadow Catchers; Ambella Home Collection; ZUO; Ratana Casual Furnishings; Lawrence & Crane; Wish Designs; Ella Home; Spicher & Company; Ashore; Botanical Mix; and Taylors, a leading agency of luxury lighting and home décor. Taylors recently announced that Lacefield Designs will join them in the Interior Home + Design Center as a luxury resource for printed textiles, decorative pillows, and drapery.
Construction now underway is focusing on showroom build-out for the initial set of founding showrooms as well as interior construction of a new registration and reception area, interior hallways, and interior landscaping. Construction of phase two, set to begin immediately following June market, will move outward to exterior façade renovations, exterior landscaping, and to the next stage of showrooms, culminating with a celebration the fall.
The visionary project, redeveloping the first floor of the iconic, mid-century International Trade Plaza building, represents the largest expansion of luxury home décor showrooms in Dallas in more than forty years.

The Interior Home + Design Center is the centerpiece of a long-range strategic initiative to provide enhanced value to manufacturers by serving market-time attendees as well as the growing number of retailers and interior designers conducting business at Dallas Market Center each week. Design showrooms across the 5 million square foot campus, which also includes the Trade Mart and World Trade Center, currently serve a discerning design community actively seeking new resources for residential and commercial projects across the Central U.S. and Latin America. In addition, Dallas Market Center hosts a full calendar of design events throughout the year in partnership with organizations including ASID (American Society of Interior Design), TAID (Texas Association of Interior Design), and the Interior Design Society (IDS), which held their national conference at Dallas Market Center in April 2016. For 2017, Dallas Market Center will host 20 design events, the largest of which welcomes more than 600 interior designers.
Originally opened in 1957 as the first building on the Dallas Market Center campus, the current International Trade Plaza will emerge anew as the re-imagined Interior Home + Design Center after a multi-million dollar renovation. While staying true to the building’s mid-century design, the updated space will feature a collection of high design open-daily showrooms from leading home décor companies serving an active interior design community as well as serving the seasonal markets drawing tens of thousands of loyal retailers from all 50 states and around the world. The transformed building will offer showrooms with individual exterior entrances, large exterior windows allowing in natural light, and hundreds of front-row parking spaces and valet service—all completely focused on the needs of time-sensitive interior designers and their discerning clientele.
